HRA Software Integration

All WellSuite® IV Health Risk Assessments (HRAs) are web-based, customizable SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) applications that can be integrated into an existing wellness portal or client system. What does this technology mean for our customers?

Anytime availability.

WellSuite IV is available to both participants and administrators 24/7/365 from any device that has an internet connection. It is compatible with all major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, IE, Edge, Opera, Safari). This makes it easy for participants to access their HRA, reports, and self-management tools when it is most convenient for them. And it means administrators can manage groups and participants, create aggregate reports, or pull a detailed report for a granular view of participant data anytime, from anywhere. Or, administrators can choose to automatically pull participant HRA data directly into their database using Application Programming Interface (API) integration—in real time or as often as they would like.

Elastic scalability.

There’s no limit to how many participants our customers can take on, or how much participant data an administrator can process. WellSuite IV expands on demand so administrators can take on 10 times – or 100 times – more than they do now with very little effort.

High Reliability.

WellSuite IV is deployed and maintained by Wellsource, so our customers never need to worry about applying updates or patches. And the WellSuite IV application’s redundant hardware infrastructure reduces the need for lengthy maintenance windows.

Versatile, secure integration.

SaaS allows customers to choose the level of integration that’s right for them. WellSuite IV can be used as a stand-alone product, a tightly integrated application, or somewhere in between.

No matter which level of integration a company chooses – or none – Wellsource uses state-of-the-art encryption, so administrators can be assured their participant data is private and secure.

Wellsource provides very well written and clear information on integration options. It is rare to see such well-organized, thorough, and clear documentation.

Integration Options

Stand-Alone

As a stand-alone product, there’s nothing to download for WellSuite IV. Wellsource can provide the URL and login credentials for admins within days of purchase. If your company wants to modify product features, such as adding questions to the HRA or re-directing participants to outside resources from the Personal Report, just let us know. We’ll need to allow for extra deployment time for customization.

We want to make delivering an HRA as easy as possible for customers who choose this option. We can upload participants using eligibility lists an administrator sends to us via a Wellsource-provided Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) site, or an administrator can add them one at a time in the admin center. Administrators can pull aggregate or data reports, or we can do that for them. If your company would like us to provide this or any of these services, just mention them when you talk with one of our account representatives so they can include that in the quote.

We provide thorough how-to documentation to walk administrators through administering the HRA.

We needed a partner with the ability to integrate with our data and platform. Working through this complicated launch with Wellsource was a positive experience for us. It’s given us the ability to expand in the way that we were looking for.

Single Sign-On (SSO)

Many customers use SAML SSO as a simple integration to the WellSuite IV platform. SSO authenticates participants prior to their accessing WellSuite IV, using the customer’s vetting process. This benefits participants because they don’t need to remember an extra login and password. And it gives customers greater security and control over who can access WellSuite IV, while still relying on Wellsource to handle under the hood participant and HRA validation processes.

Some customers use SSO to link directly to the WellSuite IV HRA. In these cases, each customer must validate whether a participant has an existing HRA to continue to edit, or if they are starting a new HRA. The other option is to link to the WellSuite IV Participant Home and let Wellsource handle those validations.

Application Programming Interface (API) Data Integration

Customers who need advanced integration and automation will benefit from the automated import and export capabilities made possible with API. If your company is interested in API integration, your IT staff will want to know that our APIs are called as secure, RESTful web service methods. We use multiple redundant layers of security and compliance.

With API integration, customers have as much control as they want. Here are some options:

  • Create and edit participants
  • Upload or fetch biometrics, participants, and HRA data
  • Manage groups and clients
  • Pull HRA data into an electronic health record system (EHR) automatically
  • Use the WellSuite IV Admin Center – or eliminate it

WellSuite IV offers more than a hundred API methods. But we provide a comprehensive, fully documented integration guide for any customer who chooses integration. It’s easy for IT or development staff to understand our capabilities and what their company needs to do on their end to make API integration work. And, of course, our team is here to help when needed.
